Katherine Gianfreda - Director

Katherine studied Economics and Accounting at the University of Edinburgh before returning to Newcastle where she works at Deloitte as a Senior Manager in External Audit. Katherine's career at Deloitte has seen her working with a diverse portfolio of clients, ranging from utilities businesses to global consumer and manufacturing companies. This experience has provided her with a deep understanding of robust organisational governance. Katherine brings a strong financial background to her role as Director and is passionate about ensuring that Pele Trust has the resources and support it needs to ensure that the schools can provide a high quality education for all students, in a safe and engaging environment.

 Passionate about people and learning, Katherine is actively involved in supporting the development of Deloitte's graduate intake. She facilitates training sessions and provides coaching to support their progress through the ACA accountancy exams. Katherine also has a passion for sport having played netball, hockey and athletics to a high standard in her school days and being part of the Scottish Universities National Squad and Netball Club President during her University career. She is attentive to the extra-curricular activities within the Trust and providing opportunities to the pupils.

 Katherine lives in Newcastle with her husband and son.
