Raising Achievement Deputy - English
Overview
English at Ponteland High School is a well established department with an experienced and committed team. Outcomes are excellent, and they are achieved by children who like reading, writing and talking about what they have read.
We are looking for a deputy who will work alongside the Raising Achievement Leader to keep that standard and move it further.
We are looking for an excellent teacher of English with a record of strong outcomes in examination classes. You may be ready for your first leadership responsibility, or you may already hold one and want a broader role. Either way, you know what excellent English teaching looks like and you can help other teachers to get there.
Full details of the role (including a link to the application form), our expectations and more about the school and our Trust are in the application pack.
Closing date is 12pm (midday) on Thursday 15 October 2026. Interviews are on Monday 19 October 2026.
Applications and a covering letter of no more than two sides of A4 should submitted to Clare Barker at c.barker@ponthigh.org.uk by the closing date.
